Happy Holidays!

Apparently my vow to be a better blogger wasn’t enough, because I haven’t written anything in months.  I will blame it on school of course and when school is out I am going to have to find a new excuse.  Having multiple blogs seems a little silly and I might have to delete this one if I don’t use it more often.

All is going well in life and I am on a much-needed break from school.  I love learning, but this last month was a bit of a strain on my brain.  We are at clinicals twice a week now I am enjoying the challenge.  The biggest thing I have learned is that it is okay to not know everything right away.  Most of it is remembering how things are done and what surgeons like.  I am pretty amazed at how much information the scrubs that I have worked with have stored in their brains and I  can’t wait until I do too.  I am also loving seeing the body in a totally different way.  It is fun trying to pick out structures that you have only read about or seen in books.

Lastly, we survived another holiday season.  Yay!  I wasn’t as crafty this year as I have been in the past, but I did manage to make some things.  My mom has finally gotten a wheel so I dyed her some fiber and I spun yarn for my sister.  I decided to finally try my hand at thick and thin and I have to admit that I am pretty addicted to it now.  It appeals to my need for instant gratification and can be made into so many things.
